THIS IS FOR THE HOUSE ADDITION AND RENOVATION THAT JOHN FINN IS DOING, THE HOUSE THERE TO MAKE THAT THEIR FAMILY HOME.

IT'S A MAJOR ADDITION THAT YOU ALL HAVE APPROVED IN THE PAST.

THIS IS FOR SHUTTERS THAT WOULD BE LOCATED ON THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING.

A BEAUTIFUL HANDMADE WOOD FRONT DOOR.

THE EXTERIOR COLOR SCHEME, THE ROOFING, AND MATERIALS, AND COPPER GUTTERS.

THE NEXT ONE IS CA 2381 FOR PROPERTY AT 312 WEST WALL STREET.

THIS IS THE STRUCTURE THAT USED TO BE OWNED BY SEAN SHOPE AT ONE POINT, IT'S WHERE HE LIVES, AND THEY ARE HAVING A PREFAB, TOUGH SHED BUILDING THAT'S WOOD TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN THE BACKYARD.

THIS IS FOR A SANDWICH BOARD TO GO OUT IN FRONT.

THEN WE HAVE CA 2384 FOR 528 SOUTH DOOLEY.

THIS IS GREAT.

THIS IS SANDY HARTNETT'S HOME, AND IT'S TO REMOVE AND REBUILD THE WOODEN FENCES THAT ARE AROUND THE HOUSE.

IT'S MUCH UPGRADED IF YOU DRIVE BY AND SEE.

WE'RE ABLE TO CORRECT A VIOLATION OF THE PREVIOUS FENCE LOCATION THAT WAS COMING DOWN ALONG THE SIDE OF THE DRIVEWAY ALL THE WAY OUT TO THE STREET, WHICH WAS NOT ALLOWED.

IT WAS JUST SOMEBODY PUT IT UP IN THE PAST.

THAT FENCE IS GONE, AND IT'S JUST OPEN, AND IT LOOKS SO MUCH NICER WHEN YOU DRIVE DOWN COLLEGE STREET NOW AT THIS POINT.

THIS IS THE SEARS ROEBUCK HOUSE PLANS, BRICK BUNGALOW DOWN AT THE CORNER OF BALL STREET.

IT'S FOR A WROUGHT IRON DECORATIVE FENCE TO PUT IN THEIR SIDE YARD TO CREATE AN OUTDOOR SITTING AREA AND GARDEN.

IT LOOKS QUITE NICE IF YOU DRIVE BY AND SEE.

CA 2386 FOR 609 EAST WORTH STREET.

THIS IS FOR THE HOUSE THAT'S THE ORIGINAL MILLIKAN HOUSE, THE TINY LITTLE ONE.

THIS IS NEXT DOOR TO ONE OF OUR COMMISSIONERS HERE.

THIS IS THE EXTERIOR MATERIALS, THE WOOD REPLACEMENT WINDOWS AND THE ROOF MATERIALS, AND VARIOUS MATERIALS FOR THE OUTSIDE.

CA 2401 FOR 306 AUSTIN STREET.

THIS IS TO REPAINT THE BERRY HOUSE.

THAT'S THE ONE UNDER CONSTRUCTION WITH THE NEW COLOR SCHEME.

IT'S CALLED WHITE BLUE AND WITH ALABASTER COLOR TRIM. THAT'S WHAT'S UP NOW.

THERE'S A PERGOLA BUILT IN THE BACKYARD OF THE SANDY HARTNETT HOUSE THAT IS A BLACK SATIN FINISH PERGOLA OVER A PART OF A NEW LAP POOL THAT WAS ADDED BACK THERE. [NOISE] WHAT'S REALLY FUN IS TO KNOW THAT THIS WAS THE HOUSE THAT TED WILHOIT BUILT AFTER THE WAR WHEN THEY HAD A SHORTAGE OF MATERIALS, AND NOW IT'S A FABULOUS, WONDERFUL INTENT HOUSE.

SHOW PLACE. THEN OUR LAST ONE IS CA 2406 FOR 113 EAST TEXAS STREET, THE POST.

THEY WERE REPLACING, I THINK YOU'LL AGREE WHEN YOU SEE THIS, THE EXISTING LIGHT FIXTURE THAT WAS THERE, THEY'RE PUTTING A PERIOD LIGHT FIXTURE LIKE A GOOSENECK LIGHT INSTEAD OF THESE BIG, BOLD LIGHT [INAUDIBLE].

THAT COMPLETES THE STAFF APPROVED CA FOR YOUR REVIEW.

THE BACKGROUND ON THIS IS THAT THIS CA WAS SUBMITTED IN DECEMBER FOR THIS PROJECT FOR BASICALLY RENOVATING THE EXISTING HOUSE, RECONSTRUCTING A PORTION OF IT THAT'S IN VERY POOR STRUCTURAL CONDITION DUE TO ITS FOUNDATION, AND THEN BASICALLY ADAPTING IT FOR THE NEEDS OF THE FAMILY THAT LIVES THERE TODAY.

THIS WAS THE HOUSE BUILT IN 1955 FOR THE WILLIAM CRABTREE FAMILY, AND THEY LIVED THERE FOR MANY, MANY YEARS.

THIS HOUSE HAD A ORIGINAL THREE CAR GARAGE THAT IN THE NEW PLAN WOULD BE CONVERTED TO LIVING SPACE.

THE FOUNDATIONS OF THAT PORTION OF THE HOUSE WERE IN VERY DIRE CONDITION.

IF YOU DRIVE BY, YOU CAN SEE HOW THE GARAGE DOORS ARE ALL LEANING OUT OF PLUMB.

THAT PORTION OF THE HOUSE WOULD BE DEMOLISHED AND RECONSTRUCTED IN THE SAME FOOTPRINT.

ONE THING ABOUT THAT PART OF THE HOUSE, I'LL SHOW YOU HERE.

IF YOU LOOK AT THIS LITTLE AERIAL VIEW WHERE YOU SEE THE POOL AND YOU SEE THE GARAGE, YOU CAN SEE THE OUTLINE OF THE ORIGINAL THREE-CAR GARAGE.

A PRIOR OWNER HAD EXTENDED A CARPORT OUT FROM THAT ROOF LINE WHERE YOU SEE THE LITTLE JOG ON THE STREET SIDE.

THAT WAS A LARGE OUTDOOR CARPORT TO PUT RV UNDER, AND BEHIND A FENCE.

THAT WOULD BE REMOVED AS WELL.

THE NEW FOOTPRINT OF THE HOUSE WOULD NOT QUITE GO OUT QUITE THAT FAR, WOULD BE LIKE FOUR FOOT LESS THAN WHAT YOU SEE RIGHT THERE.

THIS NEW DESIGN WILL CLEAN UP VARIOUS ISSUES ABOUT THAT PART OF THE HOUSE.

BUT THE NICE THING IS THE FOOTPRINT OF THE HOUSE IS REMAINING PRETTY MUCH THE SAME.

THEN ALSO IN THE FAR BACK CORNER OF THE LOT, THERE'S A STORAGE BUILDING THAT WOULD BE REMOVED.

THERE'S ALSO A LARGE EXISTING PERGOLA ON THE PROPERTY THAT WAS THERE ALREADY EXISTING.

WHAT THEY'RE DOING, THEY'RE REALLY NOT CHANGING ANYTHING THERE, THEY ARE REMOVING THAT STORAGE BUILDING SO IT OPENS UP SOME MORE SPACE.

THEN THEY WOULD BE CONSTRUCTING A NEW TWO-CAR DETACHED GARAGE OUT THERE TO THE NORTH OF WHERE THE EXISTING GARAGE WAS LOCATED.

I'M GOING TO NOW MOVE ON TO GETTING INTO THE DETAIL.

HERE'S PHOTOS OF THE HOUSE, HOW IT LOOKS TODAY.

THEN COMING DOWN THE SIDE OF THE PROPERTY.

AND THEN IN THE REAR YARD.

IN THIS PHOTO HERE, THE PICTURE WHERE THE PLAYGROUND IS, THAT'S PRETTY MUCH WHERE THE NEW GARAGE WOULD BE CONSTRUCTED, AND THEN IT WOULD BE ACCESSED OFF OF ECKLEY STREET.

HERE'S THE STORAGE BUILDING THAT WOULD BE REMOVED, THAT'S IN THE BACK CORNER OF THE LOT.

THEN HERE'S A VIEW OF THE PERGOLA THAT'S THERE EXISTING.

THEN THIS IS DOWN THE SIDE YARD OF THE HOUSE.

THIS IS THE NEW SITE PLAN OF THE PROPERTY.

YOU CAN SEE WHERE THE NEW GARAGE WOULD BE WITH THE WALKWAY EXTENDING BACK OVER TO THE HOUSE.

THESE ARE ELEVATIONS OF THE HOUSE THE WAY IT IS TODAY, AND THERE YOU CAN SEE THE THREE-CAR GARAGE AND THE LARGE RV CARPORT.

THIS IS AN EXISTING PLAN OF THE HOUSE TODAY WITH THE EXISTING ROOF PLAN.

THEN WE MOVE INTO THE NEW FLOOR PLAN FOR THAT PART OF THE HOUSE.

WHAT THEY'RE BASICALLY DOING, IF YOU LOOK ON THIS, YOU'LL SEE A LITTLE DOTTED LINE IN THERE, THEY ARE EXTENDING THE KITCHEN AREA OUT TOWARD ECKLEY STREET, BEYOND THAT LITTLE AREA RIGHT THERE, I BELIEVE IT'S LIKE 144 SQUARE FEET OR SO.

THEN THE REST OF THE HOUSE, THE PLACE WHERE IT'S BEING CHANGED IS FROM WHERE IT SHOWS FAMILY ROOM OVER, THAT'S THE AREA THAT HAD BEEN THE GARAGE.

IT'S GOING TO BE SO VERY MUCH LIKE WHAT WAS THERE TODAY, JUST BASICALLY REBUILT OUT IN THAT AREA BECAUSE OF THE CONDITIONS THAT ARE THERE.

STAFF FELT THAT WAS A GOOD APPROACH TO WORKING ON IT.

THE NEW ROOF LINE, WHICH IS VERY SIMILAR TO ALL ROOF.

THEN HERE ARE ELEVATIONS.

ON THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE, THEY WANT TO ADD THIS SMALL LITTLE EXTENSION, PORCH ROOFS, EXTENSION THERE, A LITTLE GABLE TO GIVE IT A LITTLE BIT MORE EMPHASIS AT THE ENTRANCE WAY, THAT'S NOT THERE TODAY.

THEN THE SIDE VIEW OF THE HOUSE WHERE YOU CAN SEE THAT LEFT SIDE ELEVATION, YOU CAN SEE THE HOUSE AND THE NEW TWO-CAR GARAGE TO THE REAR.

THEN YOU CAN SEE THE CLOSER UP VIEW OF THAT ELEVATION.

THEN ON THE RIGHT SIDE ELEVATION,

THERE'S FRENCH STORES THAT IT WOULD BE IN THAT PORTION OF THE HOUSE IN THAT NEW SECTION, WHICH THAT WOULD BE THE FAMILY ROOM OPENING RIGHT OUT TO THAT POOL AREA.

THESE ARE PLANS FOR THE GARAGE, SO IT HAS STORAGE SPACE ABOVE WITH THE STAIRWAY GOING UP ABOVE THE GARAGE.

THE GARAGE WOULD BE BUILT USING NUMBER 105 SIDING, SO IT WOULD NOT BE BRICK.

THAT HOUSE WOULD REMAIN BRICK AS IT IS, BUT THIS WOULD BE WOODEN STYLE, WHICH WE HAVE EXAMPLES OF THAT IN THE TOWNSHIP.

A LITTLE MORE DETAIL ON THIS, THIS CA IS TO DEMOLISH THE NON-ORIGINAL 190-SQUARE-FOOT STORAGE SHED THAT'S IN THE REAR CORNER OF THE LOT, DEMOLISH THE EXISTING THREE-CAR GARAGE OF THE ORIGINAL HOUSE, RECONSTRUCT THIS GARAGE AREA ON A NEW CONCRETE SLAB TO SERVE AS A MUD ROOM, OFFICE AND FAMILY ROOM, EXPAND THE KITCHEN AREA ON A NEW PIER AND BEAM FOUNDATION TO SERVE THE BREAKFAST ROOM, KITCHEN, AND PANTRY, AND THEN ALL EXTERIOR MATERIALS TO BE BRICK VENEER AS IT IS TODAY.

THEN CONSTRUCT A NEW, ROUGHLY IT'S 500 SQUARE FEET, YOU CAN SAY 498-SQUARE-FOOT, TWO-CAR GARAGE WITH ITS EXTERIOR CLAY THAN 105 SIDING WITH ITS GARAGE DOORS OPENING ONTO ECKLEY STREET.

THEN CONSTRUCT A NEW DECORATIVE GABLE ROOF SUPPORTED ON WOOD POSTS WHICH IS ON THE EXISTING 90-SQUARE-FOOT FRONT PORCH LIKE YOU SEE IN THIS VIEW RIGHT HERE.

THEN WE HAVE, WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS, THAT ALL THE EXTERIOR MATERIALS, WINDOWS, DOORS OR HARDWARE, LIGHT FIXTURES BE APPROVED UNDER A SEPARATE CA.

THIS NEXT BIG PARAGRAPH SECTION THAT'S IN HERE, I'M GOING TO SUMMARIZE THAT.

THIS IS COMING FROM OUR PLANNING AND ZONING DEPARTMENT, AND IT DETAILS SPECIFICS ABOUT WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.

WE'RE RECOMMENDING THE APPROVAL OF THIS WITH THE CONDITION THAT THESE THINGS THAT ARE REQUIRED BE DONE.

I WILL READ THROUGH IT, BUT HOPEFULLY IT'LL MAKE SENSE.

THEY NEED TO GET A SPECIAL EXCEPTION FROM THE BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENT TO ALLOW THE EXISTING ENCROACHMENT AND EXPANSION OF THE PRIMARY STRUCTURE, WHICH IS THE DWELLING UNIT, INTO THE MINIMUM 15-FOOT SIDE YARD ON THE CORNER LOT OF ECKLEY.

THEN UNDER THAT ORDINANCE, THE CORNER LOTS, EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE ORIGINALLY AT THIS POINT TO BRING IT UP TO DATE, AND I HAVE THIS CASE ABOUT THIS, THEY NEED TO OBTAIN A PERMIT FOR A NEW RESIDENTIAL CURB CUT FOR THE DRIVEWAY, SERVING THE PROPOSED DETACHED GARAGE, I HAVE TO GET THAT FROM PUBLIC WORKS, REPAIR THE CURB WITHIN THE ECKLEY STREET, REMOVING THE EXISTING DRIVEWAY THAT SERVES THE DETACHED GARAGE AND RV STORAGE, AND REPLACEMENT OF THE CURB AND GUTTER WHERE THE DRIVEWAY REMOVAL OCCURRED, AND SUBMIT A PLAN FOR THE CURB FOLLOWING THE CITY STANDARD DETAILS TO THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR REVIEW, AND REPLANT IN THE FORMER DRIVEWAY AREA WITH GROUND COVER LANDSCAPING.

THEN ALSO THE LAST CONDITION IS A BUILDING PERMIT IS OBTAINED FROM THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT.

THIS LITTLE THING I JUST READ THROUGH, THIS IS THE NEW WAY THAT THE PLANNING AND ZONING WOULD LIKE TO WORK WITH US.

WE'VE ALREADY LOOKED AT EVERYTHING SO THAT WHEN IT GOES FORWARD, IT'S ALREADY READY SO THAT WE'RE JUST BRINGING ALL THAT TO YOUR ATTENTION.

IT ALSO BRINGS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE OWNERS AND THE BUILDERS WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED FOR BUILDING IN THE HISTORIC DISTRICT.
